The company was founded in 2017 by James Brown and Damaris Brown.

Damaris Brown joined Classic FM in 2013 as the station's Brand Manager, before founding Artium Media Relations in 2017. Other experience includes Orchid Classics, Peters Fraser & Dunlop Literary Agency, Quite Great Publicity, Decca Records and Hazard Chase.
Damaris graduated with honours from the University of Manchester, with a First Class BSc in International Management and Marketing. She studied at Manchester Business School and the University of Washington (Foster School of Business). She comes from a family of classical musicians and plays the French Horn.
