Meet the team
Co-Founder & Director
Damaris has 10 years of experience as an arts publicist and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. Before co-founding Artium Media Relations in 2017, she held positions at Classic FM, Orchid Music and Peters, Fraser & Dunlop.
Some particular career highlights include working with Hans Zimmer on a live concert production of Interstellar, producing A Night Out with Sir Michael Caine at the Royal Albert Hall, promoting the Roald Dahl estate's Pelicantata world premiere, and working with Sir Michael Parkinson on a spectacular charity gala.
Damaris studied International Management at the University of Manchester and Marketing at Foster School of Business, University of Washington (First Class BSc Hons).
Co-Founder & Director
James is an award-winning Artist Manager with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He founded Hazard Chase Limited in 1990 and was Chairman of the International Artist Managers’ Association from 2003-2005.
He became an Honorary Member of the Royal College of Music in 2007 and he was made an Honorary Life Member of the International Artist Managers’ Association in 2012.
James has worked with a wide variety of artists including Michael Nyman, Eddi Reader, Michael McIntyre, plus multi-award winning classical artists such as Benjamin Grosvenor, Julian Bream, Masaaki Suzuki and Sir John Tavener.
With over 10 years of experience working in the classical music industry, Emma started her career at artist agency Hazard Chase, where she progressed from Administrator to Associate Director.
In 2020 Emma started her own business as a Virtual Assistant, working to support small businesses in creative industries, and specialising in classical music.
Emma graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge with a BA Hons in Music in 2011. During her studies she focused on performance, playing both the flute and jazz saxophone in ensembles and as a soloist.
